WHAT REMAINS

This series is an attempt to stop time and hold on to memories. The images look behind the individual faces, distort them, save them from oblivion. At the same time, it is obvious that this is a losing battle. Nothing lasts. The faces are frozen in time, their stories stowed away. What remains is a search for the beauty of the transient, timeless and recognisable.

This series was exhibited at the Head On Photo Festival in Sydney, Australia, and at the International Photography Festival in Pelt, Belgium. It was also published in the 3rd volume of Observe Magazine.
